Let's Get Dressed Retro Style !  So, you love the sweet and sexy look of retro and enjoy showing off your curves with a well put together personal look. Rockabilly style has a classic appeal that's flirty and fun, a perfect balance of sexy bad girl greaser and sweet swing dance nostalgia that brings the best of 50s retro fashion to today.

Here's some inspiration and how - to's that'll help you put it all together.

    • Hair Inspiration - Your hairstyle sets the mood whether you are dressing "ponytail cute" or "sultry vixen."    "Rockabilly Hairstyle and Colors that Rock"   pinterest board shows looks from sweet and romantic to bouncy blue curls.  There's no limit to what you can achieve with a curling iron, bobby pins and some hairspray.  Want try out a new pin up hair style ?  Here's a video with a super easy style that you can follow along  "Easy Pin Up Girl Hairstyle - Pinup Hair Tutorial - Aubrey London"  While you're there check out her other videos.  She's one of my favorites.
    • Make up How To - Pin up and retro makeup takes a little practice.  Here's  "Deadly is the Female" with a 50's makeup lesson including how to get those lush red, pouty lips.   You'll find a more indepth history of 50s makeup, key looks and favored color pallette in  "Makeup & Beauty - a 1950's Guide"  It's a downloadable book written in the 50's with "original advice as taught to women of this glamorous era"
    • Retro Fashion History -  Enhance your enjoyment of the retro fashion look with a little history and perspective at Vintage Fashion Guild 1950-1960  How did the "New Look" come about ?  And how did the "three c’s – code, conformity and consumerism" influence 50's fashion?  Find out more and appreciate what our sisters went through to 'look good for their man.'
    • Underneath it All - Where would the retro look be without the right undergarments! We may not want to wiggle into a corset anymore but it's fun to read about how these garments developed and fit.  The "Vintage Fashion Guild Lingerie Guide" will take you through bed jackets, brassieres, girdles and crinolines.  Plus see great pictures illustrating each style.
