Sexy, Strong Women and Off The Shoulder Tops in the Movies

Sexy, Strong Women and Off The Shoulder Tops in the Movies

We just got a new shipment of Off the Shoulder Tops and it got me to thinking of all the times I've seen these tops in the movies - the most famous being Jane Russell and her tough, sexy look in "The Outlaw."  This sensational movie was released in the 40's and started Russell's career as a star and pin up girl.  Could it have been the Off the Shoulder Top?  or the Smoldering Look ?  Either way she was one hot momma.

Rita Hayworth also rocked the off the shoulder peasant top look. In this studio publicity shot she looks gorgeous, sexy, and slightly haughty.    Hayworth started out as a dancer and was later spotted by a Fox Film producer.  She became a favorite pin up for American troops following the famous photo of her in a negligee in Life magazine.  Her best known role was in the movie "Gilda".  Hayworth played "Gilda, alongside Glenn Ford, as a reckless femme fatale, with enough sensual firepower to scorch every man she met."

Another well known Hollywood star, Dorothy Dandridge, became a fashion icon in the 50's with her chic style.  As a singer, dancer and actress, she projected a seductive yet conservative style. She's most famous for her film "Carmen Jones."  Here's a synopsis: " The tale of the cigarette-maker Carmen and the Spanish cavalry soldier Don Jose is translated into a modern-day story of a parachute factory worker and a stalwart GI named Joe who is about to go to flying school. Conflict arises when a prize-ring champ captures the heart of Carmen after she has seduced Joe and caused him to go AWOL. Carmen remains a flamboyant flirt and ends up being strangled by the soldier."  And check out this over the shoulder shot - who could resist !?

Off The Shoulder Tops can be sexy, sweet, or provocative... depends on who and how they are wearing it. Here Nyasia is wearing a mint top at our latest fashion shoot.  Nyasia  is a Mother, fashion designer, model, and singer who we met at the Kenneth Paul Media Studio.  I love her cool and confident style - she does it all and looks fabulous.
