Peter Pan Collar History

Posted by Vivian Vassar on 20th Oct 2017

Peter Pan Collar and Blouses have been popular for many years.

"A Peter Pan collar is a style of clothing collar, flat in design with rounded corners. It is named after the collar of Maude Adams's costume in her 1905 role as Peter Pan, although similar styles had been worn before this date." from Wikepedia

The Peter Pan Style has remained a fashion icon as seen in 1920's little girl dresses, 1930's wedding gowns, 50's Bobby Soxers, 60's Carnaby Street minis, 80's power suits, and today's classic skirt and blouse outfits worn for work or play.

Peter Pan button up blouses are comfortable and versatile - a wardrobe staple.  We carry them in white or blue in size XS to 2X

Sizes for Hey Viv ! Peter Pan Blouses: The Peter Pan blouses are standard sizes. They are a boxy cut (not tapered) and tend to run large. If in doubt, buy one size down. The puff tops are generous in cut and size and work well for anyone who needs a large or xlarge size.
