Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

Returns, for refund of the purchase price, and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of the date of delivery. No items will be accepted for return or exchange after 30 days. Exchanges are not available for international orders. For an exchange, the first item must be returned before the exchange item can be sent.

*If you set up an account when you placed an order - click on 'My Account' on the top tool bar.  Log into your account on the next screen.  Click on 'Return Request'.  Look for the instructions 'To return an item from one of your previous orders, please click here.'   Once you click you'll be able to see your order and let us know what you are returning.   We will email you updates as your return is processed. 

* If you checked out as a guest and did not set up an account when you placed an order then send your return to Hey Viv Inc, 44 Clinton Ave, Staten Island, NY 10301 and put your order number on the outside of the package and a copy of the receipt inside. We will email when your return is processed.

For exchanges please put the word Exchange on the outside of the package. Be sure to include a note explaining what you would like to exchange. Exchanges are not available for international orders.

* The item(s) must be returned in the same condition as it was shipped in.
Any problems with damage during shipping will be taken up with the shipping company. We will be glad to assist with this.

* Returns can be done through the Post Office. We suggest that shipments be insured for your protection. Please let us know when you've shipped. We'll let you know when your package arrives and a refund has been issued.

* Sorry, shipping charges are not refundable.

* Please note: Packages that are refused delivery by the customer are subject to return shipping charges. If the delivery company charges us for the return we will charge you by deducting it from any refund due or by charging the credit card used for the purchase.

* All returns should include a copy of the receipt. Without a copy of the receipt the processing of your return may be delayed.

* Refunds are issued by the same method as you originally paid.

Hey Viv ! offers quick shipping with special low rates & attentive customer service. We have over 25 years in the vintage & costume business. We know that orders are often needed quickly.

Shipping Time:  Most paid orders are shipped within 24 hours (Mon to Fri)

Count one business day for us to process your order (don't count Sat or Sun) then add:

1 business day for Overnight starts at $30
2 business days for 2 Day Air starts at $18
3 business days for 3 Day starts at $14
4-5 business days for Ground starts at $7.50
3-4 business days for Priority Mail starts at $5
4-7 business days for 1st Class Mail starts at $2

 

If you need your order by a certain date, please email customerservice@heyviv.com & we'll do our best to expedite. Please keep in mind the time it takes to process your order & transit time. 


Domestic Shipping (within the United States) 

You'll see the charges and can choose the shipping method you prefer in the checkout. We ship out of Staten Island, NY 10301. 

 

  • UPS Ground, UPS 2nd Day, UPS 3 Day and UPS Overnight (see note* below about UPS delivery Mon through Fri). UPS shipping includes tracking, insurance and email shipping confirmation with tracking number. 
  • US Postal Service - If you choose US Postal Service for shipping keep in mind that small orders (usually under $20) are sent 1st Class Mail. Insurance and tracking is not available. Larger orders are sent Priority Mail. Insurance and tracking is included.

 

International Shipping (outside the US) US Postal Service or UPS. The customer is responsible for customs, duties and taxes.

 

  • USPS International – The US Postal Service is best for small orders that are not needed by a certain date. We ship by USPS 1st Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail depending on the size and value. Packages shipped this way can not always be tracked accurately. Delivery times can vary from 4 days to 14 days.
  • UPS Expedited – UPS is recommended for orders over $200 and for orders that are needed by a certain date. Packages can be tracked and delivery dates are specified. The packages are insured. UPS will take package through customs and do the local delivery. There may be extra charges at delivery for UPS handling. 


*Please note: UPS delivers Monday through Friday. They do not count the weekends when figuring delivery time. UPS charges extra to deliver on Saturday. If an Overnight package is shipped on Friday it will be delivered Monday, not Saturday. Call our toll free number at 1-866-543-9848 to arrange for Saturday delivery. An extra charge will apply.
