Colors to Suit Your Mood - Sheer Chiffon Scarves

Posted by Vivian Vassar on 24th Jul 2020

Colors and what they signify are my topic this week while I work on our Sheer Chiffon Scarf listings.  Since I'm promoting the idea of adding some color to your outfit (with a scarf) I thought it would be interesting to look into the idea of choosing a color that suits your mood or feeling.  My hair was a mess yesterday - all this heat and humidity does a number on my curly hair.  So I reached out and grabbed a pink scarf to pull it all back.  Now, was that by accident or did I subconsciously choose pink the color of "unconditional love and nurturing" because I was taking care of myself and making myself feel better. Hmmmm...

Here's a list of colors and what they signify or imply.  Think about this as you choose the colors you wear, maybe the colors reflect what you are feeling or what you would like to feel.

Orange is the color of social communication and optimism.

Yellow is the color of the mind and the intellect. It is optimistic and cheerful.

Green is the color of balance and growth.

Blue is the color of trust and peace.

Purple is the color of the imagination. It can be creative and individual

Brown is a friendly yet serious, down-to-earth color that relates to security, protection, comfort

Gray is the color of compromise - being neither black nor white, it is the transition

Silver has a feminine energy; it is related to the moon and the ebb and flow of the tides

White is color at its most complete and pure, the color of perfection.

Black is the color of the hidden, the secretive and the unknown, creating an air of mystery
