The coolest books come from ETG Book Cafe in Staten Island. I've always enjoyed their fashion books and recently, I found "Costume in Context - The 1960s and 1970s" by Jennifer Ruby. The author follows and defines fashion and costume by following a fictitious family through the years. The drawings are in black and white and in color and show a range of styles from work clothing to country living, dressy to casual, maxi to mini, and even includes a punk page!
I got such a kick out of it. I remember wearing some of the looks in my younger days. It brought back good memories :) Thanks Everet to passing it on to me.
