Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Exhibit - Paley Center NYC

Last week I was in heaven!   I had the pleasure of visiting the "Making Maisel Marvelous" Exhibit at the Paley Center in NYC.  Luckily I had my friend Miss Laura with me to pull me back to earth and on to the next section when I got stuck on drooling over the vintage dresses used in the Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

"With this exhibit, The Paley Center for Media welcomes The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to Fifty-Second Street, offering visitors a magical summertime sojourn to the Maisel world of late-1950s New York.

Your journey starts with a visit to the TV studio for the Arthritis Telethon where Midge made her first television appearance. Costumes from the series are on display as you make your way to B. Altman’s switchboard and Rose’s Paris apartment. Head downstairs to take your picture at the Stage Deli and the Catskills hair salon. Then sit back in our Bennack Theater to enjoy your favorite season two episodes on the big screen."

Each display had clothing, props, and backgrounds used in the show and the best part was getting to sit down, pose, and get pictures taken.  That's me in the picture below sitting at the Catskills Hair Salon desk taking appointments.  I can fit you in tomorrow at 10, will that be a wash and set?

I was so happy to see people attending dressed and ready to fit in with the scene. I felt like I had entered the 50's world of Mrs Maisel and I didn't want to leave!  Check my facebook photo album to see more pictures from "Mrs Maisel Exhibit at the Paley Center"
